The Purest Expression of the E.H. Taylor Legacy

There are bourbons, and then there is Colonel E.H. Taylor, Jr. Barrel Proof. Bottled straight from the barrel at full proof with zero dilution and zero chill filtration, this is bourbon in its most honest, uncompromising form. Every drop comes to you exactly as it left the barrel inside the legendary Warehouse C at Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky.

Named for Edmund Haynes Taylor, Jr. — the man who shaped the modern bourbon industry and fought for the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897 — this expression is a tribute to his obsession with quality and transparency. Barrel proof means nothing is hidden. What you taste is exactly what the barrel gave. Released in extremely limited quantities once a year, this is the bottle serious collectors chase every single year.

🥃 Tasting Notes

• Nose: Dark caramel, toasted oak, dried cherry, vanilla bean, and warming baking spice
• Palate: Rich toffee, dark chocolate, leather, dried fruit, and building heat that rewards patience
• Finish: Exceptionally long and warming, with lingering oak, caramel, and spice

🍽️ How to Enjoy

• Neat with a few drops of water: Opens up complexity and tames the heat without losing character
• On a large ice sphere: Slow dilution lets flavors evolve beautifully over 20–30 minutes
• Old Fashioned, elevated: 2oz Barrel Proof, 1 sugar cube, 2 dashes Angostura bitters, large ice cube, expressed orange peel
• Gift it: Presented in the iconic E.H. Taylor canister — a gift that lands every time
