Red Spot 15 year old Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey is produced using an old recipe from Mitchell & Sons, whose records date back to the early 1900s. This featured bottling of the reimagined Red Spot is a triple-distilled, single-pot still Irish whiskey that has been expertly matured for a minimum of 15 years in a blend of choice casks, namely; ex-bourbon, ex-Oloroso sherry, and ex-Marsala. Composed of a 100% malted barley mash bill, Red Spot 15 Year is bottled at 46% ABV and was one of the most eagerly-anticipated releases of 2015. Named Whisky Advocate’s 19th Annual Irish Whiskey of the Year, this bonded single-pot still Irish whiskey offers a nose of old pennies draped in bananas and hay seasoned with malt, vanilla, and chocolate. On the palate are more swirls of banana over layers of oak, creamy vanilla frosting, and hints of strawberries.
